All personnel employed by Alberta Paramedical Services Ltd are registered by the Alberta College of Paramedics in their respective disciplines. We employ Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), Primary Care Paramedics (PCP's and formerly Emergency Medical Technicians/EMTs) and Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP's). We also employ registered nurses, respiratory therapists and/or physicians. Call us now for more information.
This wide range of staff allows us to meet our clients’ needs, whatever they may be. The company ensures that all personnel are continually updating their skills through continuing education programs. We also have a quality assurance program in effect to help us maintain our high standard of care. Alberta Paramedical Services Ltd is a member in good standing with the Alberta Construction Safety Association, St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, CQ Network and Edmonton Construction Association.
EMR - EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDERS
EMRs are trained and qualified to provide advanced First Aid and basic airway adjuncts, as well as in the operation of an automated external defibrillator. They can also provide spinal immobilization and patient-assisted medications.
PCP - PRIMARY CARE PARAMEDIC/EMT EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS
EMTs can provide all of the same treatments as an Emergency Medical Responder, as well as intermediate airway adjuncts, cardiac monitoring, intravenous therapy and medications for symptom relief.
ACP - ADVANCED CARE PARAMEDIC
Our paramedics are trained to provide all of the treatments offered by an EMT, plus advanced airway adjuncts, defibrillation and medication administration.
